Natural beard balm, in every scent.
A beard balm is the step after oil: a beeswax-and-tallow base that conditions the hair and the skin under it while giving you enough hold to shape the day. We whip ours by hand in New Castle, Indiana with argan oil and vitamin E — no synthetic fragrance, no fillers. Every one of our eight men's scents comes as a 2 oz balm tin.
| Attribute | Beard Oil | Beard Balm |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Softening, taming itch, everyday conditioning | Shaping, light hold, taming flyaways on a longer beard |
| Texture | A liquid — a few drops that sink in fast | A solid balm from a tin — waxier, stays where you put it |
| Base | Argan and jojoba oils with vitamin E | Beeswax and tallow, plus those same nourishing oils |
| When to use | Daily, on a damp beard after a shower | After oil, or on its own when you want hold |
| Need both? | Oil first, for skin and softness | Balm second, for shape — plenty of guys run both |

Everything about men's care
Are these grooming products specifically made for men?
Yes — the men's lineup uses 8 scents formulated exclusively for a masculine profile (cedar, smoke, amber, and more). The base ingredients — wagyu tallow, goat milk, beeswax — are the same quality we use across all products, just tuned for the grooming routine.
What does the beard balm do?
Our beard balm conditions facial hair and the skin underneath, reducing itch and flaking. It uses a beeswax and tallow base with argan oil and vitamin E — nothing synthetic, no artificial fragrance.
Are the scents too feminine for men?
Not at all. All 8 scents in the men's line are masculine — cedar + smoke, tobacco + amber, and similar profiles. Nothing floral. We hand-poured these with men's preferences in mind.
Is BeeHive Body Co. veteran-owned?
Yes. BeeHive was founded by Mary Hobbs, a jet mechanic in the US Air Force, in 2014. Everything is still made by hand in New Castle, Indiana.
What grooming products do you make for men?
The men's lineup includes beard balm, beard oil, body schmear (light lotion), sugar scrub, goat milk soap bars, and shampoo bars — all available in men's scents. Most can be bundled into a gift kit.
Are these actually different from your regular line, or just repackaged?
The base ingredients — grass-fed tallow, real essential oils, no synthetic fragrance — are the same across everything we make. What's different here is the scent profile and a few grooming-specific formulas, like beard balm and beard oil, that don't exist anywhere else in the catalog.
Can women use these products?
Sure — nothing here is formulated differently for men specifically, it's really about scent. If you like a bolder, less floral profile, this is that; there's no functional reason it's off-limits to anyone else.
Beard Oil vs. Beard Balm
They're not competing products — oil conditions, balm holds. Which one you need (or if it's both) depends on what your beard is actually doing.
The Natural Deodorant Transition
Switching off antiperspirant comes with a real adjustment period. Here's what's actually happening and how to get through it without quitting in week one.
